As covid ravaged the world, we all stayed home and stayed distanced to do our part in flattening the curve. While home, everyone took on new hobbies to pass the time when we weren't watching TV. What started with one "covid card" expanded into dozens of cards that ended up chronicling my own quarantine experience, as well as that of my family, friends, and the global community. From personal to communal to societal themes, when I look at these cards I'm reminded of that unparalleled experience in all of our lives. I seek to impart vibrant energy to my "covid cards" compositions through the use of bright colors and bold designs. During the darkest hours of the pandemic, I found making these cards a particularly cathartic escape, as I was able to focus my creative energy into making something beautiful.
